Built something in Lovable? Let it draft the LinkedIn launch post from what it just built, in your voice, and queue it for your approval.

## The short answer

You can have Lovable write your LinkedIn launch post while you are still in the build chat. Add Finchreach to Lovable as a custom MCP connector with your API key. Lovable already knows what the app does, who it is for and what changed, because it just built it. Ask it to read a few of your past LinkedIn posts for tone, then draft the announcement. The draft goes to your Finchreach [approval queue](https://finchreach.com/approvals), and it only goes live on LinkedIn after you approve it.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard plug that lets AI apps use outside tools. Finchreach is a remote MCP server for LinkedIn at `https://mcp.finchreach.com/mcp`. Lovable supports custom MCP servers with a bearer token or API key, so it can connect directly.

> Lovable uses MCP connectors in the chat while you build, not inside the app you publish. This post is about using Finchreach from the Lovable chat. Your published app won’t be able to call LinkedIn through this connector.

## Why write the launch post in Lovable instead of a separate tool?

The hardest part of a launch post is not the writing. It is remembering, at the end of a long build, what the product actually does in plain words, and which detail will make someone click. The Lovable chat holds all of that context: the features you asked for, the bugs you fixed, the audience you described in your first prompt.

Writing the post in the same place saves you from re-explaining your product to another assistant. It also means the post describes the app as it is now, not as you planned it two weeks ago.

With Finchreach connected, Lovable can use:

- `linkedin_get_profile` to read your own name and headline, so the post fits how you present yourself.
- `linkedin_search` with the content vertical to look at how others have announced similar products.
- `linkedin_create_post` to draft a text post, which goes to your approval queue.
- `linkedin_get_feed` and `linkedin_get_notifications` to see reactions and comments after the post is live.

## What prompt gets a good LinkedIn launch post?

Start by giving Lovable your voice, then the angle. For example:

> Ask your assistant: “Use Finchreach to read my LinkedIn profile. Then draft a LinkedIn launch post for the app we just built. Lead with the problem it solves for freelance designers, mention the two features we finished today in one sentence each, and end with the link and a question that invites replies. Under 1,200 characters, no hashtag wall, no emojis in the first line. Show me the draft here before you queue anything.”

Iterate in the chat until it reads right, then queue it:

> Ask your assistant: “Shorten the second paragraph and make the opening line about the user, not about me. Then create the post with Finchreach so it lands in my approval queue.”

A couple of days later, you can come back to the same project and ask for a follow-up based on what people said:

> Ask your assistant: “Check my LinkedIn notifications for comments on the launch post. Summarize the questions people asked, then draft a short follow-up post answering the most common one. Queue it for approval.”

## How do I add Finchreach to Lovable?

The full walkthrough is in the [Lovable guide](https://finchreach.com/guides/lovable). In short:

1. [Create a Finchreach account](https://finchreach.com/sign-up) and connect your LinkedIn account on the Accounts page.
2. Create an API key on the API keys page and copy it (it starts with `lk_`).
3. In Lovable, open Connectors → Add custom → MCP server.
4. Enter a name such as Finchreach and the URL `https://mcp.finchreach.com/mcp`.
5. Under Authentication, choose Bearer token or API key instead of OAuth, and paste your key.
6. Save, open a project chat, and ask Lovable to list your Finchreach LinkedIn accounts to test it.

Per [Lovable’s custom MCP docs](https://docs.lovable.dev/integrations/custom-mcp), custom MCP is available on all plans, workspace admins can turn it off, and connections are personal to you, as of October 2026. If you don’t see the option, check with your workspace admin. More detail on the server itself is in our [quickstart](https://finchreach.com/docs).

## What makes a LinkedIn launch post work?

There is no formula, but a few habits make drafts better, and you can put them straight into your prompt:

- Open with the reader’s problem or a concrete moment, not with “I’m excited to announce”.
- Say what the product does in one plain sentence a non-technical friend would understand.
- Pick one or two features. A list of ten reads like release notes.
- Be honest about the stage: beta, side project, first version. People respond to that.
- End with one clear ask: try it, reply with feedback, or share with someone who needs it.

Finchreach posts are text only today, so the link and the words carry the post. If you want a screenshot, add it by hand on LinkedIn after the post is live.

## Will Lovable post to LinkedIn without asking me?

No, as long as approval mode is on, which it is by default. When Lovable calls `linkedin_create_post`, Finchreach stores it as a pending action and returns `pending_approval`. You read the exact text on the [approvals page](https://finchreach.com/approvals) and approve or reject it. Lovable can check the result with `linkedin_get_action`.

That is useful in a build tool, where the assistant moves fast and you might say “ship it” about the code without meaning the announcement. The queue separates the two.

> Automating a personal LinkedIn account carries risk under LinkedIn’s User Agreement. Approving each action yourself lowers that risk but doesn’t remove it. Keep your posting pace the same as it would be by hand.

## Lovable and LinkedIn: common questions

Can my Lovable app post to LinkedIn for its users? Not through this connector. Lovable uses MCP tools during the build chat only, and Finchreach acts on your own connected LinkedIn account, not your users’ accounts.

Can Lovable attach images or schedule the post? No. Finchreach supports text posts only and has no scheduling. You decide when it goes live by when you approve it.

Does Lovable see my LinkedIn password? No. LinkedIn is connected once in the Finchreach dashboard. Lovable only holds an API key you can revoke at any time.

Can I use the same key in other tools? Yes. Any MCP client that can send a header works, for example [Claude Code](https://finchreach.com/integrations/claude-code). If MCP is new to you, start with [what a LinkedIn MCP server is](https://finchreach.com/blog/what-is-a-linkedin-mcp-server).
