Quickstart
Connect your LinkedIn account in the dashboard, add https://mcp.finchreach.com/mcp to your assistant (it signs in with OAuth, or send an API key as a Bearer header), then ask it to read your feed. Writes wait for your approval.
1. Connect your LinkedIn account
Sign in and open Accounts. Connect your LinkedIn account; Finchreach checks the session and gives the account a residential exit in your country.
2. Add the MCP server to your assistant
Clients that support remote MCP with OAuth (Claude, ChatGPT connectors, Claude Code, Cursor) only need the URL: https://mcp.finchreach.com/mcp. They open a Finchreach consent page where you pick the scopes.
claude mcp add --transport http finchreach https://mcp.finchreach.com/mcpClients that take headers instead can use an API key. Create one under API keys (it is shown once) and add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"finchreach": {
"url": "https://mcp.finchreach.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your key>" }
}
}
}Step-by-step setup for each client: Setup guides.
3. Make a first read
Ask your assistant“Use Finchreach to show me the five most recent posts in my LinkedIn feed.”
Reads run right away and count against your rate limits.
4. Approve a first write
Ask your assistant“Draft a LinkedIn post about what I shipped this week and submit it with Finchreach.”
The tool answers { status: "pending_approval", action }. Open Approvals, check the exact text and approve it; the assistant can follow it with linkedin_get_action. More in Approvals.
Prefer HTTP? Use the REST API
The same operations are available over HTTP at https://api.finchreach.com with the same API key.
curl https://api.finchreach.com/v1/accounts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $FINCHREACH_API_KEY"Every endpoint: API reference.
